In the Spotlight
Northern Montana Hospital is currently working with the Philips-Stentor PACS technologies.. With the addition of these cutting edge technologies, patient images will no longer be contained on film. Standouts in Care

MRI - A non-invasive procedure that produces a two-dimensional view of an internal organ or structure, especially the brain and spinal cord.

 

CT - A type of imaging scan that shows the internal structure of a person’s brain.

 

Ultrasound - A procedure in which high-energy sound waves (ultrasound) are bounced off internal tissues or organs and make echoes.

 

Nuclear Medicine - Medicine that deals with the use of radioisotopes in therapy and diagnosis.

 

Mammography - low dose x-rays are used to image the internal structure of the breasts
