POSITION PURPOSE (Summary)
Executes preventative maintenance procedures, and performs major and minor construction and repair work as necessary for the safe and economical operation of the hospital.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
(Education, License / Registration, Experience, Knowledge and Abilities)
- High School Graduate or G.E.D.
- Prefer experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and a knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration.
- Physically capable of shoveling snow and heavy lifting.
- Possess a valid Montana Driver’s/Chauffeur’s license with minimum or no violations against the driving record.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes work on the “Maintenance Work Order” form on a timely basis as required.
- Completes all “Preventative Maintenance Work Orders” a specified in department procedure outlines.
- Removes snow and does outside ground work when required or requested by manager or his designee.
- Cleans and organizes all Engineering tools and spaces, and ensures this is done daily, or as required to keep Engineering spaces clean and organized at all times.
- Supervises the landing of helicopters as specified, when required or requested.
- Monitors gauges and controls to insure proper operation of all systems.
- Does remodeling, construction, plumbing, soldering, welding, piping, and any other related work required in hospital renovation or equipment installation or replacement.
- Communicates any problems with equipment, supplies, or department operations to Manager.
- Move heavy furniture on carts and heavy equipment, carrying tools, parts, and boxes.
- Delivery and pickup of packages and parts, plowing snow, shoveling, and delivery of various hospital items to various locations around town.COMMENTS
