Northern Montana Health Care, Inc. and its affiliates have a strong commitment to compliance with all federal and state laws, regulations and requirements for billing, payment and reimbursement of health care services.   NMHC trustees, officers, managers, physicians, employees and agents should be aware of the laws and regulations governing their activities, as well as behavior within their area of responsibility which could pose a concern under federal or state fraud and abuse or false claims laws.  Each member of the organization shall strive to comply with all laws and regulations applicable to them and to avoid any behavior that could constitute or give the appearance of fraudulent or abusive practices.

Reporting Suspect Non-Compliance

Suspected non-compliance may be reported in the following ways:

  1. By making the report in person at the Compliance Office; Room 420
  2. By telephoning the compliance Hotline at the Compliance Office; ext. 1420
  3. By requesting that the Compliance Auditor contact them.  Such a request may be made 24 hours a day via the Compliance Office Hotline answering machine or via email or Meditech message addressed to the Compliance Auditor.  The request should include the reporting individual’s name and a method and time of contact.  The initial request need not state the reason for the contact and should NOT include details of the report.
  4. By completing an Anonymous Report of Suspected Non-Compliance.  The anonymous reporting form is available in the Compliance Information Cabinet of the Meditech Library.

The reporting individual should report truthfully, fully and in good faith all facts of which they are aware, including facts, which may implicate them in the violation.
