Infection PreventionistsGinny Heberly, BSN, RN is our Infection Preventionist. She is available for community education engagements teaching proper techniques for hand-washing and sanitation at the work place. She tracks and reports information that helps to prevent HAIs - e.g., surgical site infections, Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus, C.-difficle, multidrug-resistant organisms- in healthcare facilities by isolating sources of infections and limiting their spread. She systematically collects, analyzes and interprets health data in order to plan, implement, evaluate and disseminate appropriate public health practices. Additionally, she trains healthcare staff through instruction and dissemination of information on infection prevention and control practices.
