Northern Montana Hospital is a 49-bed acute care facility which offers Med-Surg rooms, six (6) ICU/CCU beds, 5 LDRP rooms and Level III 24 hour ER coverage. A 120 bed long-term care facility, with all private rooms, is adjacent to Northern Montana Health Care. You will enjoy working with providers in specialties that include Psychiatry, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Radiology, OB/GYN, Orthopedic and General Surgery, Anesthesia, Podiatry and Pathology, as well as Ophthalmology and Optometry. Physicians Assistants and Nurse Practitioners complement the providers.

Student loan forgiveness may be available through the National Health Service Corps and the State of Montana Incentive program.

We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

Physician Assistant-Orthopaedic

This is a full-time position working in our Orthopaedic Clinic. The Clinic includes sports medicine, general Orthopaedics and podiatry. The physician assistant shall work in collaboration with the practicing physicians and provide health care for patients.

This position will see patients in the Clinic performing medical evaluations, including timely documentation; perform history and physical examination and records data. This position will plan, manage, evaluate and treat health care for patients. Identify normal and abnormal finding and consult with physician to determine plan of treatment. Will educate patient and family regarding current health status and needs and signs and symptoms of illness. Order any follow-up testing and treatments as indicated by the evaluation; perform clinical and therapeutic procedures, will assist in the operating room and take some ER call.

Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved Physician Assistant (PA) training program required. Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants required. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the Montana Board of Medicine and Federal issued DEA.

Physician Assistant-Internal Medicine

This is a full-time position working in our Internal Medicine Clinic. The physician assistant shall work in collaboration with the practicing physicians and provide health care for patients.

This position will plan, manage, evaluate and treat health care for patients. Identify normal and abnormal finding and consult with physician to determine plan of treatment. Emergency Room Physician

This is a full-time Hospital employed position working in our Level III 24 hour Emergency Room; salary will be based on an hourly wage and hours worked. Shifts are 24 hours with 7-8 shifts per month scheduled. The physician must be board eligible or board certified, be ACLS and ATLS certified. PALS certification is desired, and must be Montana licensed or eligible to apply for Montana medical license.

Benefits include malpractice insurance paid by the Hospital, health/dental insurance with hospital paying a portion of premium, life/disability insurance with hospital paying entire premium, paid relocation expenses, and $5,000 CME available.

OB/GYN Physician

This is a full-time Hospital employed position who will be working in a clinic practice, attractive two year salary guarantee with subsequent generous productivity based compensation. With the first and second year salary guarantee, physician may move to production as soon as desired. This position is a combination of inpatient and outpatient care. Must be board eligible or board certified in OB/GYN and must be Montana licensed or eligible to apply for Montana medical license. Experience preferred however, will consider new graduate, J1 Visa, H1-B sponsorship available. Salary negotiable. Posted January, 2015

Hospitalist/ER Medicine

This is a full-time Hospital employed position (Board Certified or eligible in Family Medicine). The physician is required to work at least two five day eight hour shifts starting Thursday through Monday providing direct inpatient care. Along with providing Hospitalist duties, the physician would be required to work two to three Emergency Medicine 24 hour shifts per month. Schedules are completed two to three months in advance. Must have experience working in an Emergency Department and inpatient hospital setting, must be certified in ACLS/ATLS/PALS. Malpractice coverage is provided by the organization plus employee benefits (health, life, dental, disability, retirement benefitsand paid relocation.
