Care Center, Assisted & Senior Living

Northern Montana Care Center

The Care Center Activity Department has its own bus to take residents to area events, such as the Great Northern Fair and Rodeo

Northern Montana Care Center is a dynamic living environment. It is more than a Care Center, it is comprehensive professional nursing home for seniors of all levels and a place of rehabilitation for adults who are recovering before returning home, and a place of respite care when an at-home caregiver must be away.

Our Facility

Our modern facility is located on the campus of Northern Montana Health Care. The proximity to the hospital and emergency room, can be accessed through our heated, enclosed hallway which connects the Care Center to the Hospital services. Residents have 24-hour access to physician and hospitalization if they need it, and our 136 private rooms are grouped around nursing stations, landscaped courtyard patios, and small banquet rooms. Rooms are grouped into four different wings with a secure Alzheimer's and Dementia Unit on the southeast wing of the building. It has its own enclosed courtyard where residents may safely enjoy the outdoors.

What our residents say...

"This is a nice place. I told my family that if I ever need a place like this again, I want to come back here and nowhere else. The physical therapist was very good, with a good sense of humor. It made me look foward to therapy."

Northern Montana Care Center Recognized by Mountain-Pacific Quality Health

Northern Montana Care Center (NMCC) in Havre was recognized by Mountain-Pacific Quality Health for its participation in a three-year project designed to improve the quality of care in Montana nursing homes.

NMCC's Extreme Makeover: Selected residents' rooms have been carefully chosen to be "made over" like the TV show! Interested Community groups and individuals meet with Ila McClenahan, Activity Director, and the resident to discuss what would specialize their room. The group or individual provides imagination and talent to "makeover" the room.

The results of the State Survey for Northern Montana Care Center are available for your examination at the North Reception Desk and at the South Main Entrance.
