For immediate release: National Committee for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) recognizes Dave Henry, President/CEO of Northern Montana Hospital, as a "Patriotic Employer for contributing to national security and protecting liberty and freedom by supporting employee participations in America's National Guard and Reserve Force." The certificate contains the Seal of the Department of Defense of the United States of America and is part of a national program to recognize the employers of members of the guard.
"Northern Montana Hospital held Callahan's job for one and a half years," said Jay Burrington, Director Building and Grounds, Callahan's supervisor. "It's a great program allowing them [members of the guard] to leave and comeback, and the government is saying, 'thanks' to the employers for their support."
Brigadier General Peter Dawkins, United States Army, retired, states on a training video, "that it is often an advantage for employers to hire the men and women in uniform of the National Guard and Reserve, because they are self-disciplined, physically fit, and drug free."
